A Brief Introduction of CNCC’s International Exchange and Cooperation Center
The International Exchange and Cooperation Center (IECC) affiliated to China National Children’s Center (CNCC) was founded in March 2002 as a tier-2 institutional legal person with the approval of State Commission Office of Public Sectors Reform and registered at National Administration for the Registration of Institutional Organizations. IECC develops and undertakes national and international trainings, cultural and educational exchange activities and cooperation projects for all-round development of children and for the improvement of the professional skills and competence of children educators.
IECC has organized China Children’s Performing Art Troupe to visited various countries and regions such as Russia, USA, Japan, UK, Germany, Colombia, Mexico, Turkey, Korea, Greece, etc. Moreover, the Center has received thousands of government delegations and official visiting groups of women and children from all over the world and thus promoted the mutual understanding and friendship between Chinese and foreigners. Besides, it has cooperated with relevant organizations in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan on diversified children activities such as children's painting and calligraphy, art festival, folk culture winter camp, Chinese Kungfu summer camp etc., which help improve the connections among children in mainland and in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
IECC maintains close cooperation with UNICEF, the United Nations educational, scientific and cultural organization and other international organizations from USA, UK, Sweden, Finland, the European Union, etc. and has conducted many projects in various fields, such as child immersion, art education, cultural exchange,intelligence importation etc., including participatory training on AIDS prevention, the summer camp and children’s forum on the investigation of children’s development, training on children's traffic safety, children mural art festival, etc. In addition, IECC has also organized overseas training workshops and field trips for children educators and practitioners throughout the country, which effectively promote the exchange and development in the field of child care and education.
Adhering to the tenet of serving children and children educators and practitioners, IECC further integrates high-quality education and cultural resources to improve the quality of children’s international exchange events and to expand such platforms, thus enhancing friendship and mutual understanding among children from various countries and promoting Chinese culture worldwide. Last but not least, IECC commits to improving the brand, image and international influence of CNCC by strengthening the exchanges and cooperation with international organizations, launching new projects and channels of international cooperation in terms of overseas training and exchange events for children educators and practitioners to obtain international vision and to improve their practice, while introducing China to the world and contributing Chinese wisdom to the course of child development and education.
